More 'Tiny' Keepers

Recognize the cropped button up?
Cus I've worn it here, here and more recently here...

Yeah, I can't seem to take it off.
It just goes with everything!

This white tube dress basic is also a total Tiny treasure as well since it can be layered so easily. Making a routine walk through the Fashion District after lunch, I decided to show off my white-on-white keepers.

Of course they went amazingly with my Dr. Seuss-like sandals.  I didn't really get a good shot of them but you'll see them better in the last photo.

The booty jeans are plentiful here.  It's lovely.

My hair has been increasingly difficult to manage.  One, because it's now at shoulder blade length and two, because I haven't trimmed it in, like over a year.... eeek!  Anyway, I'm leading up to say that I've been waiting very impatiently for my new professional-grade helmet dryer that's currently in transit to me (!!!!!!)  In a week or so, my hair will never be the same again.  Dramatic, yes?  Can't wait to show-and-tell ya all about it!

cropped shirt: PINK / tube dress: H&M / sandals: Zara

This outfit is simple as can be but packs a white hot punch!  What can I say, the understated chic of minimalism is my jam, ladies.

Wishing you a fabulous end to your week!
Be sure to come back on Monday - I promise I'll be wearing a different shirt :)

Candy Wrapper Colors

Off to the movies with two of my favorite guys, I had no time to dress in the outfit I'd intended.  Plus, speed walking, in the sun, in woven strappy sandals so Theo wouldn't miss grabbing the best seat and watching all the previews didn't sound like a blast so I chose a jersey tank dress and some Chucks in order to keep up.

The ensemble for that outing will be in another post perhaps, but for Monday, I was still stuck to the idea of coral, yellow, orange and pink.  All together...  Like a candy wrapper!

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!
Thanks so much for visiting :)

Mid Drift

So I've been wearing a lot of mid rift tops lately.  Partly because of the stupendous weather, a little because I'm lightening up a bit -
but mostly because I'm neck deep in mid-drift culture now...

Eh, when in Rome!

Though in the past I've proven to be quite experimental and courageous with clothing (yes, I was the girl in high school changing in the bathroom into platform heels and a shorter skirt before class), I've still always dialed it way back when it comes to showing tummy.  You gotta leave a little mystery right?  A bare mid-drift's place should be purely beach or poolside but all well, some thoughts need to be changed, you know?  Cropped tops are cool. modern, edgy, sexy, playful AND classy!

And btw, yes, I know I'm like the only woman who is just now getting hip to this "cropped" concept, please be patient with me :)

So, I have decided to finally add them to my closet.  And this cropped Tiny Closet Collection piece is fitting right in!

Spring Chick

Easter festivities never fail to bring out the girlier, frou frouy side of my closet.  And since my skin tone tends to fair well with pastels, I dive right into the moment every year.

And these pink voluminous pants I got for $3 at Value Village - they have managed to stay refreshingly relevant in my Tiny Closet and shine particularly bright every Spring.

This Spring though, I'm pairing them with a bandeau and showing a little skin!

While mid-drift baring is a sport in which my participation has always been minimal, I think this year I'm going to be joining all those flashy L.A. girls and showing off a bit more of that sexy lower rib area... yeah!

Wearing My Top Cropped

I've been going through my old graphic tees lately.  I never wear graphic tees except to bed but I found one in particular that was cute enough to reconstruct for casual wear.  Graphic tees never fit me correctly - that's why I only wear them to sleep - so when reconstructing this cute little Nutella tee, I cut it short.  Really short.

And to make up for the lack of real estate up top, I paired the tee with a high waist Tiny Closet Collection piece: this pleated linen geo print skirt.  When I picked out the fabric to make this gem, I knew it would be a favorite!

This Nutella tee I got from an old neighborhood cafe in Seattle.  Nutella is such a nostalgic childhood favorite for me, and with the cropped top and colored wayfarers,
I felt like a kid :)

And like true Tiny Closet style, I have worn these pieces before!  This skirt in particular, I wore in a Fall ensemble and here with a muscle tee.
It's very versatile so you know, it's perfect for me because I like to be able to wear my closet all year round.

I've been feeling kinda bored with my hair lately....  Thinking of trying something different these days.  Hopefully I won't be too lazy this weekend to experiment and show you on Monday!  This girl needs a bit of a change!
