Early Morning Walk In Stripes & Dots

For this Winter season, I made a few pairs of cozy, festive pants to wear during my daily, casual outings.  I've been getting tired of wearing jeans all the time and since there's a chill in the air (finally), skirts are sorta' out.  Ah, it seems I'm always coming back to you, genie/harem/hammer pants.

But this time, I thought I'd go with a slimmer elasticized pant (ugh, jeez - it looks much better than described, I promise).  See for yourself.

Really, it's about print.  I just want a little more excitement in my clothes these days and these polka dots pants are just one of a few of the cheeky prints I found at my favorite fabric store (Michael Levine).  If you want a sneak preview of the prints I carefully picked out, check out my Instagram page!

I have been allllll about these pants and my lil white Keds recently.  And some fun print mixing with some cozy pieces is all I need to get through my L.A. Winter.

Getting ready to visit my family and friends back in Seattle!!  Promise I'll share more of my outfits and activities than I did last year.  Muah!

  1. Only you can make the "comfy" look look like a breeze. Aren't KEDS the best!? I have a pair; funny thing here where I live, some folk still call them pumpkin seeds shoes.
Enjoy your trip! Will you be carrying this look to Seattle? I'd heard the weather is really something different there.
P.S. Waiting with bated breath for the outfits and festivity shots.

    1. That's funny! I've never heard Keds called pumpkin seeds! LOL I wonder where that came from??? And yes, I certainly will be taking this coziness to Seattle. Half the reason why I decided to make a tribe of them! It'll be something cute to wear while I endure the colder, wetter season up north :)

    2. When I first moved here, I had wondered the same thing: where did that come from? I'll have you know I googled "pumpkin seed shoes" and was directed to URBAN DICTIONARY. You will crack up at the definition(s)! Knowledge is power! So is technology. LOL!!!

  2. Get out of my brain! I'm also tired of wearing jeans all the time but haven't found anything more casual to wear as a replacement that still looks good. This is a great idea.

I visited Seattle in October for my 30th and what a place! My husband fell in love and wants to move out there! We were around for the Salmon Festival, had a blast at Pike Place and ate the greatest donuts we've ever had. Can't wait to go back. I know you'll have a great time.
